Embark on a flavorful journey through Tokyo’s ramen scene, where you'll taste six distinct types of delicious ramen at three award-winning ramen shops. With a fun, customizable menu, you can choose from 11-12 different ramen varieties, each boasting unique flavors and textures. From a light, salt-based chicken ramen to a rich, creamy pork bone broth, this experience is designed to showcase the incredible diversity of Japan’s beloved noodle dish. Whether you’re a ramen enthusiast or a curious foodie, this tour offers an unforgettable opportunity to indulge in expertly crafted bowls of ramen.
Beyond just tasting, you'll dive deep into the world of ramen, learning about its rich history, evolving trends, and traditional preparation methods. During the three-hour experience, you'll also pick up tips on how to enjoy ramen like a true local. The tour begins in Shinjuku and concludes in either Ebisu or Akasaka-Mitsuke, with a good amount of walking involved, making it ideal for those with a moderate level of fitness. Please note that all ramen broths contain chicken, pork, and fish, but a separate Vegan/Vegetarian Ramen Tasting Tour is available for those with dietary restrictions.

These tours are amazing! I book a tour with Food Tours Tokyo every time I come to Japan. All of their tours are well organized and fun. I highly recommend the Ebisu Hidden Cocktail Bar Tour. Brian is a fantastic tour guide! The bars are fun, unusual, and very hard to find on your own. Food Tours Tokyo aka 5am Ramen is a great company to work with and they are solo friendly! Brian ran the tour even though I was the only person signed up for it and he was really fun to hang out with. The experience with Brian was so good that I signed up for his Shinjuku Izakaya tour for the end of my trip and I am happy that I did. His Japanese is impressive and he is very knowledgeable about Japan. Any of the tour guides are a great resource for questions that you didn't think you would have until you actually get to Tokyo. It may be helpful to have WhatsApp set up before arriving in Japan since it is one of the tour guide's contact methods.

As a cocktail enthusiast, I was very excited to learn that this kind of tour exists in Tokyo!! Especially with the amount of good bars to visit, it can be overwhelming to know which one to go to. I had no idea on what to expect within the three hour tour, but oh boy it went by super fast and I had so much fun. Brian, our guide, was very informative throughout the tour. Whether it be a question about the bar, cocktails, or even suggestions with Tokyo, he got you and really makes sure for you to have a good time. We toured four bars in Ebisu, four different vibes, but intentionally and perfectly picked out. I would definitely recommend this to anyone who appreciates a good night roaming around the city, have love for cocktails and experience to be a part of the local's night life. Hoping for this tour to spread and have it in different neighborhoods of Tokyo, that would be really amazing and definitely something to look forward to!!

Had such a fun night on the Ebisu cocktail bar tour! Discovered hidden bar’s amazing drinks with a Japanese twist. Super friendly bartender. Highly recommended if you love good cocktails and cool vibes!

Our guide Makayla was phenomenal! This tour was such a lovely way to explore Tokyo on Day 1, and the ramen was fantastic. We enjoyed getting to learn about the different types of ramen, and tasting such a variety was a treat. Makayla and the team hosting the Ultimate Ramen Tasting Tour were very well prepared, organized, and fabulous hosts! Would highly recommend this tour.

The only regret I have is not doing this tour on our first day in Tokyo. Our tour guide, Frank, was so friendly and knowledgable about all things Tokyo which made this feel like more than just a food tour (though the food was still the focal point!). Frank showed us local favorites off the beaten path which made it feel even more exclusive. We will definitely do another tour during our next trip to Japan!
